Wire Rope Sockets
Rope sockets are used for the capping of winding ropes or balance ropes. The socket comprises of a cone shaped body, suitably machined to accommodate the rope end to be resin or white metal capped. The prefer¬red method is using approved resin kits. The socket is supplied with a threaded pin with nut and split pin.
- Used for capping of steel wire winding ropes or balance ropes.
- Capping achieved by pouring prepared resin into the cone, white metal can also be used.
- Suit a range of rope diameters and safe working loads.
- Design incorporates a minimum factor of safety of 10:1 on safe working mass load.
- Supplied complete with a threaded pin, with nut and split cotter pin.
