With the latest RFID technology, Becker provides advanced Tagging & Tracking solutions. The WRAP310 and 260 product ranges are IP67 certified and IEC 60068 tested for environmental impacts.

The WRAP260 product series allows mining operations to adopt the state-of-the-art 1 Gigabit per second standard for fibre-optic networks even in explosive areas. All products have been ATEX and IECEx certified for category M1 and level of protection “ia” respectively.
Thus, they fulfil the highest standards for operation in explosive atmospheres. They can also be combined with a battery backup power supply for continued network support even if the mine power network fails.
The WRAP260 products are designed for harsh environments in mining operations and come with water ingress protection ratings IP65 and IP67.
A strong fibre-backbone forms the basis
Collecting more and more data underground to enhance the process visualization of your mining operation requires a capable communication backbone in the first place. The WRAP260 Switches are designed for mining operations and allow a fast data communication even from and to your production areas. They are certified for operation in gazeous atmospheres and designed with robustness in mind: IP65 or IP67 ingress protection guarantees no dust or water ingress. All inside electronics are securely positioned and all devices have been vibration tested. In addition we did not just rely on OEM specifications, but we have made sure that all devices operate normal under specified temperatures.
The WRAP260 Switches include three different models:
- The WRAP260.3 Single Switch
- The WRAP260.4 Double Switch
- The WRAP260.5 Gateway Switch
The WRAP260.3 Single Switch comes with 5 x 1 Gbit/s ethernet ports for regular applications. The WRAP260.4 Double Switch accommodates 10 x 1 Gbit/s ethernet ports and represents a solution for big networks with many branches. The WRAP260.5 Gateway Switch was engineered to be a gateway for old data networks with 100 Mbit/s bandwidth and allows the connection between both worlds.
Do not run out of signal in your production
The WRAP260 Routers allow mining operations to have a powerful wireless LAN network even in the production area where explosive atmospheres are common. With the WRAP260 Routers the WLAN network is still running even if the power was shut because of gas detection and can be supported on a battery backup for up to 8 hours.
The WRAP260 Routers come in two variants:
- The WRAP260.1 Double Router
- The WRAP260.2 Triple Router
The WRAP260.1 Double Router is our entry level product with two WLAN modules with 2 available fibre ethernet ports and four available antenna connections. The WRAP260.2 Triple Router comes with three WLAN modules with four available fibre ethernet ports and six available antenna connections.
RTLS included
The WRAP260 Routers can be optioned with tagging & tracking functionality for RTLS applications. With this option, the WRAP260 additionally acts as a tag reader for UHF personnel and vehicle tags. It can thus be integrated into our existing CAS (Collision Awareness) and PDS (Proximity Detection) system solutions.
