Energy efficiency and environmental protection in action

In 2015, Becker Mining Systems launched an energy audit in Germany that resulted in impressive savings of 160 MWh by 2019 - a clear sign of our commitment to energy efficiency and environmental protection.

In 2020, Becker Mining Systems began a pioneering solar project at its site in Poland. The plant planned there can generate more than 288,000 KWh of energy per year, saving up to 173 tons of CO2 emissions annually. In two stages, a photovoltaic plant with 50 KWp was built first, followed by a larger plant with another 250 KWp in 2021. This measure contributes significantly to the sustainable design of our production processes and to the reduction of our environmental impact.

When developing new products, all Becker Group Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) carefully consider environmental impact when selecting components and suppliers.
