A plug-in connector attached directly to the flameproof enclosure makes it possible to do without voluminous terminal compartments and to offer compact switchgear that also does justice to the term “compact”.
Modular Technology
The plug-in units are ready-for-use units. They are just inserted into the switchgear and activated as well as deactivated by its own disconnecting device – more is not required. Two power contactor units of the type HPC 450-3 can be operated in the KE 3002.

- Both slots can be equipped with a power contactor unit.
- Every plug-in unit has its own circuit breaker and earthing device.
- The operating parameters and tripping limit values for the plug-in units are entered in the display and control units in the intrinsically safe terminal compartment. The compact station does not have to be opened or shut down for this purpose.
- Simple connection using plug-in-connectors reduces the installation costs. Fast trouble shooting due to modular technology minimises downtimes.
