Electrical current flowing through the conductors of a trailing cable generate heat. When more heat is generated in the conductor than can be dissipated to the surrounding environment the temperature of the conductor increases as well as the other components parts of the trailing cable and cable reel. Becker Global America’s cable reels are manufactured with a proprietary collector ring design that virtually eliminates problems with internal heat. The collector ring conductor is 3x the material of other OEM and has a unique lubricating technique that prevents carbon.
