PDS4.0 Key Facts

Additionally, PDS4.0 meets EMESRT Level 9 standards, ensuring the highest level of safety and operational compliance in the mining industry. While interacting with the vehicle, the operator-centered design helps the driver to remain safe and in control of any situation.
Since not all requirements and vehicles are the same, the PDS4.0 was designed with modularity and customization in mind.
From the simplest system, consisting just the basic warning information, to a fully-fledged system with multiple detection points consisting of both available technologies, the customer can adjust the system to their needs. The modular design of the PDS4.0 modules itself makes it simple to add and replace individual modules. By adding a PDS4.0 extension unit to the main device, the system can be expanded even further.
To enable further automation, the data from proximity detection systems must be available for analysis and also for post accident investigation. The PDS4.0 stores all events locally and tamper proof. For a typical mining application storage is provided for 30+ days. When in reach of an Access Point the PDS4.0 units transmit the collected data via WiFi. From the access points the data is then passed on to the central mine data base (MSQL) via fibre. Of cause is the entire communication encrypted. Available software programs can visualise the data from there. With Smartflow, we provide an integrated solution for the PDS4.0 that can visualise the events and create analytics and statistics from there.
